Teaching Verbal Behavior: Introducing and Expanding the Functional Communication Skills of Students with Autism
The purpose of this workshop is to introduce Verbal Behavior (VB) and associated instructional methods based on ABA to Teachers that work with students on the spectrum or other developmental disabilities. Included in the program will be “evidence based” strategies, demonstrations, and recommendations that can be implemented in the classroom, support and encourage functional communication, and expand the student’s verbal repertoire. This course is designed to assist teachers that are dealing with the many challenges associated with autism and other developmental disabilities. Cost is $150.00 per teacher for 2 days of instruction with hands-on activities. Workshop attendees will receive one (1) CEU upon completion of the 2-day training.
