How can you help?

April is Autism Awareness month and April 2nd is World Autism Day. We are offering three opportunities for your business to join with others in raising support for the ACNM. On April 2nd of each year, Autism Speaks (a national organization) sponsors the Light It Up Blue campaign in which businesses and homes display blue lights to promote autism awareness. So for our community, we designated #GoBlueTupelo as our local campaign and hope you will join us in our endeavor. The following are ways you can help:

  • Blue Jean Day: On April 2, offer your employees a chance to wear blue jeans or the color blue for a $5 donation. Be creative; take pictures and tag them with #GoBlueTupelo and #ACNM to share your support.
  • #GoBlueTupelo Donations: If you are a service-related business (i.e., restaurant, salon, fitness), commit to adding blue lights to the outside of your business which can be purchased at ACNM, and we will encourage the public to support ‘blue’ businesses on April 2nd. When a customer says “I support #GoBlueTupelo”, you can either donate an amount per person or a percentage of your proceeds that day. We will ask people to take a picture and upload them to social media, hashtagging #GoBlueTupelo, #ACNM, and your business name.
  • Autism ‘Run Wild’ 5k: You can sponsor this super fun event on April 18th, which promotes autism awareness and fitness. It will be held at Fairpark, and will be a family-friendly environment. See sponsorship opportunities below.
