Get Involved and Support the Autism Center
April is National Autism Awareness Month, and it is the best time to get involved in supporting the Autism Center of North Mississippi. If you are interested in helping us grow, but have been unsure of what to do, any of the following acts of service would be beneficial to our mission. Each option is simple enough but has a resounding impact on our organization.
Become our PARTNER!!

Paint the Town Blue
The Autism Center works hard to get our community involved during the month of April by asking our supporters to “go blue” for autism. Either on April 2nd, World Autism Day, or any time during the month of April, we invite businesses, organizations and individuals to join in this creative way of supporting a great cause. Exchanging an outside light for a blue bulb, allowing employees to wear blue on a certain day, and/or donating a portion of your proceeds to the Autism Center are many ways in which you can “go blue”. Get creative and share your efforts with others! By involving more people, it increases the potential to create autism-friendly communities. You can be part of that!
Share/Sell Our Shirts
Promote #goblueMS t-shirts by purchasing one (or several) and sharing your support on social media. You can also support #goblueMS by selling these unique t-shirts! Simply request a purchase order form to share with businesses and friends. Then submit the forms to the Autism Center and deliver the shirts to purchasers.
Share Our Events
If the Autism Center of North Mississippi is hosting an event, feel free to share the information on your social media page in order to garner more involvement. For instance: the annual Autism 5k/Awareness Walk, any upcoming training or workshops, and other fun things in the community. This is free marketing, as user visibility increases as the number of social media shares increases! ‘Like’ our Facebook posts, and then share them with others.
Start Your Own Fundraiser
Have an idea for a creative ‘go blue’ fundraiser? Go for it! It is so fun to watch our community discover unique ways in which to support the cause of autism and the mission of the Autism Center. Some fundraiser examples would be: 5k, motorcycle rides, bicycle rides, toy-drives (collect new or gently used toys for the center), carwash, awareness walk, etc. The Autism Center is unable to organize the event for you; however, we are more than willing to share your efforts on social media to increase support for your event!
